Back in the mid-1990's Joe Bryant came up with the principal of Value Based Drafting or VBD. The basic idea behind VBD is the value of a player is determined not by the number of points he scores, but how much he outscores his peers at his particular position. His concept was created to be used during fantasy football drafts using player baselines and projections, helping you draft the best available players. I took the concept of VDB and used it to determine who has had the best fantasy seasons and call it Relative Fantasy Value or RFV. Using the baseline of #13 Quarterback, #25 Running Back, #37 Wide Receiver and #13 Tight End, I have given players from 1963 to 2021 a RFV and determined the top 100 fantasy seasons from 1963 to 2021.
